WDA was involved in:Workshop on the common strategy of promotion for Warsaw orgnized with the President of the City of Warsaw and moderated by Synovate WDA organised a meeting of representatives of various organisations dealing with the promotion of Warsaw, which took place on the 31st of March 2004 at the InterContinental Hotel in Warsaw (e.g. PAIiIZ, Instytut Marki Polskiej, Warsaw Promotion Bureau, The Warsaw Voice etc.) The discussions in small groups, led by moderators, were aimed at working out the outlines of cooperation between organisations for the joint promotion of Warsaw – a vision of this promotion, forms of cooperation and examples of concrete activities. The following is the summary of these discussions WORKSHOP REPORT ENG.pdf [169.51 KB] _______________ Ludvig van Beethoven Festival Since 2004 Warsaw Destination Alliance is a partner of the Easter Ludwig van Beethoven Festival. The Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival is Poland’s largest festival of classical music. Since 1997, the best concert halls of the country have gathered the most outstanding soloists, choirs, and orchestras from all over the world, presenting at the same time the most eminent Polish artists and ensembles, and promoting the most talented Polish musicians. The Festival has become one of the most prestigious artistic events on the musical map of Poland, reinforcing the country’s image as an artistically attractive country. Together with the International Musicological Symposia and the Exhibitions of Manuscripts held in the Jagiellonian Library, the Festival is a single entity and the only event of its kind in the world. It attracts the most eminent virtuosos and orchestras from all continents. In 2008 there will be 12th edition of the Festival. WDA was a partner of the event and helped to organise the accommodation for the delegates. More information: www.cepif.pl _______________ NEW NEW YORKERS Festival, June 25 - July 4, 2004 WDA supperted U.S. Embassy in Warsaw and their "New New Yorkers" festival. The idea was to present Polish artists-immigrants and their contribution to amercian culture. Above 60 cultural events related to music, dance, film, literature, visual arts and theatre were organized all over Warsaw. Among the artists we could have found Krzysztof Wodiczko, Hnna Bakuła, Daniel Horowitz, Rafał Olbiński, Daniel Libeskind, Urszula Dudziak, Michał Urbaniak. http://www.usinfo.pl/newnewyorkers/ _______________ Business Tourism Fair Warsaw Destination Alliance is a partner of BTF since 2004.
