The festival finished with the presentation of the Executive Chef of La Rotisserie Restaurant, at Le Regina hotel in Warsaw, Pawel Oszczyk who introduced Polish culinary heritage to Slovenians. The presentation of traditional dishes of Polish cuisine, served in modern way, took place on the 21st of May in the City Museum of Ljubljana and it was the official closing of Warsaw’s Days in Ljubljana. Polish Ambassador, Piotr Kaszuba opened the festive banquet for representatives of political and economic life and the media, Pawel Oszczyk introduced the tradition of the Polish table and presented the menu. The main purpose was to promote Poland as culinary destination and the potential of Polish food industry in Slovenia. Embassy believes that it is a great idea, especially if we want to convince consumers of specific products. Mr Oszczyk, as a chef, proved to be the successful link between producers and consumers when it came to the promotion of destination, cuisine and specific products. The event attracted a very great interest of media and helped to attract new fans of Poland and Polish flavours. We hope the next year the tradition of Polish Culinary Day will continue in purpose to build and strengthen the positive image of Poland.
