Warsaw is like a phoenix and a cameleon in one: born again from its ashes, now changing colour every day! “If you want an adventure, Warsaw should be your destination”, an old song says. That is still true. The city absorbs businessmen, artists, politicians and ordinary workers giving to all of them the chance of a big career or just a better life. New sky-scrapers sprout up one after another, new bars and clubs open their doors every month, new people arrive to conquer Warsaw with every single train. What is trendy today, gets oldschool tomorrow. However, this cosmopolitan city, unlike other world capitals, has something of a small town’s ambience. You will be surprised finding it in a silence of a main street in a lazy Sunday afternoon or in the sound of wind in numerous trees here. It is also in the inhabitants’ curiosity about the others. You might like it or not: people here just look at each other. They can see your dress is crumpled but they will notice you need a help too and won’t be hesitating in giving you a hand! Finally, what impresses you about this city the most, is its power of life and its ability to convert impossible into possible. We are happy winners of Euro 2012. The stadium where the opening celebration is supposed to take place is the largest bazaar of the continent today.
