Tales From Europe, April 2005
Kirsty Wark is the presenter of Tales From Europe, a six-part documentary on BBC World. In this series, Kirsty travelled from Slovenia to Estonia, learning about the countries that had emerged from behind the Iron Curtain after 1989 and had joined the European Union in 2005.
Black Alphabet Exhibition At Zachęta National Gallery of Art
WDA was a partner of Zachęta at Black Alphabet exhibition. It was the first presentation in Europe of a group exhibition from the USA focused on the most powerful elements in contemporary American art created by African American artists. The exhibition involved 40 artists working in different media such as painting, sculpture, photography, video, video installations, performance and sound and digital projects.

Cities of Music project
The Festival "Cities of Music – Warsaw 2005” was arranged by Polish Radio Channel 2 under the auspices of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and took place in Warsaw from 24 to 30 2005. The event rendered a fine portrayal of music life in Poland's capital city and was transmitted by EBU public radio stations to reach millions of listeners throughout Europe, in the United States, Canada and Israel.
Apart from transmitting the concerts and an opera performance, Polish Radio Channel 2 broadcasted also a series of reports and features expounding on the culture as well as history of the Polish capital and the region. Alex Kloszewski, WDA president was one of the speakers talking about Polish culture and position of Warsaw on the music map of Europe. WDA was an official partner of the event.
Ludvig van Beethoven Festival
Since 2004 Warsaw Destination Alliance is a partner of the Easter Ludwig van Beethoven Festival.
The Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival is Poland’s largest festival of classical music. Since 1997, the best concert halls of the country have gathered the most outstanding soloists, choirs, and orchestras from all over the world, presenting at the same time the most eminent Polish artists and ensembles, and promoting the most talented Polish musicians.
The Festival has become one of the most prestigious artistic events on the musical map of Poland, reinforcing the country’s image as an artistically attractive country. Together with the International Musicological Symposia and the Exhibitions of Manuscripts held in the Jagiellonian Library, the Festival is a single entity and the only event of its kind in the world. It attracts the most eminent virtuosos and orchestras from all continents.
Summer Warsaw Chopin Festival: Chopin and its Europe
WDA supported the first edition of Chopin Festival - Chopin and its Europe that was organised in Warsaw in September 2005. Since then WDA is a partner of National Institute of Frederic Chopin in all their projects.
Creation of Let's Warsaw Together Committee - MultiFest
WDA together with about 100 private and public cultural institutions started to work on the Calendar of Cultural Events. At the monthly meetings we were discussing how to promote Warsaw as a cultural destination for the international art lovers. The effect of the work was the Multifest project - the calendar of events that is available at www.multifest.pl
Kwartesencja - Festival of Royal String Quartet
WDA helped in organisation of the first edition of Festival of Royal String Quartet that was organised at Fabryka Trzciny on November 4 – 7.2005.
The initiator and main organizer of the Festival is the Royal String Quartet. This ensemble from Warsaw is developing its brilliant, international career, especially since became a part of the BBC New Generation Artist scheme. The musicians by organizing their own Festival wish to „spread” the passion among a wider audience.
Public Relations in local goverments Conference in Kraśnik with BRIEF for Poland, June 7-9 2005
Planned and conscious promotion of Poland and regions was discussed during the conference, supporting the regions’ and places’ development through providing them with new marketing tools to be used in destination promotion. WDA presented to all participants the sample of Warsaw and the activities taken by the foundation to promote the city.

CEE Business Tourism Fair - major MICE fair in Warsaw
Warsaw Destination Alliance participated at BTF for the second time. BTF one of the biggest and most important event for meeting industry professionals in Poland. WDA specialists participate in the conference and pannels, WDA hotels exhibit with their offer during the event.
Warsaw night at Polish Embassy in Paris
On December 14, 2005 WDA together with the Warsaw Convention Bureau, Polish National Tourist Office in France and Sofitel Victoria Hotel organised the elegant Warsaw night at Polish Embassy in Paris. The aim of the event was to promote the Polish capital among the French meeting planners and tourism professionals.
