Warsaw Destination Alliance together with LOT Polish Airlines encouraged Europeans to spend a wonderful weekend in Warsaw.

The Wonders of Warsaw promotion offered potential visitors a special weekend package: a flight from one of 19 European cities and a 5 star hotel accommodation – from 280 Euro. Foreigners, who wanted to visit and discover Warsaw during a summer weekend were offered a one person package for 280 Euro and packages for two starting from 430 Euro. The packages covered: the cost of flight, 2 nights accommodation and breakfast in one of selected Warsaw 5 star hotels. Packages were available from July 15th until July 31st 2009 exclusively through www.lot.com. The journey needed to take place till August 31st.

The goal of the joint LOT & WDA activity is an active and effective promotion of Warsaw in Europe. An increasing popularity for city breaks show that more and more people are ready to discover new European spots over the weekends. An attractive price was to encourage Europeans to choose Warsaw as their weekend destination overseas.

Seven WDA associated 5 star hotels were involved in WOW promotion: Hyatt Regency Warsaw, InterContinental Warszawa, Jan III Sobieski, Mamaison Le Regina, Polonia Palace Hotel, Radisson BLU Centrum Warsaw and Warsaw Marriott Hotel. Depending on the hotel chosen, the package price varied between 280€ - 300€ for one person and 430€ to 450€ for two.

WDA was a partner of the conference on Hotel Investment in Poland organized by Eurobuild Conferences which took place on June 3rd, 2009.
